Log book Information and ideas

Each team are required to keep a log book of their progress throughout their design and build process.

The idea is that you finish with a comprehensive record of how you achieved certain things, how you came about making decisions, the design process for you robot etc.

 

You will present your log book and your robot to the judging panel on the day of the event. The log book will help the judges see how you went about designing your robot, making decisions etc.

Please see the “Inspection Guideline” booklet along with the “Game Description and scoring” and the “Round Up game manual” for a comprehensive look at the robot specifications.

 

But in summary here are a few of the key points:

 

• A robot must not be bigger than 18 Inches x 18 Inches x 18 Inches
• You are only allowed to use VEX parts on your robot
• Every robot has to pass a pre-event inspection

 

 

It is important that teams agree a game plan and design the robot around that idea.

Teams should consider the amount of games that they will be playing in when they design their bots, the design should be able to endure a quick succession of matches and allow for easy maintenance.
